5 Electrical connection
u Disconnect power.
The unit must be connected by a qualified electrician.
Observe the national and international regulations for the installation of electrical equipment.
Voltage supply according to SELV, PELV.
5.1 Wiring

Observe the following points for a virtually interference-free CAN bus connection:
u Use shielded cables approved for CAN bus → www.ifm.com.
u Terminate the cables with a 120 Ω terminating resistor.
u Use a shielded connection cable with correctly connected shielding.
w Interference-free operation without electromagnetic influences is guaranteed.
Reverse polarity can damage the active 120 Ω terminating resistor.
