18 Troubleshooting
The following error codes generate an emergency message on the CAN bus. The respective error
code can be read from the error register (index 0x1003 / subindex 0x01... 0x20). The errors are written
to the error register using a FIFO principle.
If an error occurs, the object directory (index 0x1001) is updated.
The inhibit time between two emergency messages can be determined via the Inhibit EMYC time from
the object (index 0x1015). It is indicated in 100 μs increments.
Error code Description Possible causes:
0x1000 General error Device is in a faulty condition
0x3120 Supply voltage too low The supply voltage of the device does not corre-
spond to the data sheet specifications
0x3110 Supply voltage too high The supply voltage of the device does not corre-
spond to the data sheet specifications
0x4220 Device temperature too low Device is operated outside the ambient temperature
range of the data sheet
0x4210 Device temperature too high Device is operated outside the ambient temperature
range of the data sheet
0x8130 Heartbeat or note guarding error Device no longer accessible in the network
0x8210 Protocol error PDO or RPDO has an invalid data length
