11 Machine utilisation / load cycle counter
Based on the vibration energy (v-RMS), the device can record the machine utilisation via two load
cycle counters and thus monitors the effective energy influence of a machine / component.
The underlying measurement axis is the axis of the vibration velocity (index 0x2051).
Two limit values can be defined via index 0x4004. If one of the two limit values is exceeded, the
respective counter accumulates the time over the limit value in seconds.
The counter records the machine utilisation / OEE key figures.
Examples
• the machine was predominantly in process step 1 (low vibration energy)
• the machine was predominantly in process step 2 (a lot of oscillating energy)
• Operating hours of a machine or subcomponents of the machine
Changing the units (index 0x6131 subindex 0x02) automatically changes the units of the limit
values.
A change to the measuring axis v-RMS (index 0x2042) or the DC filter (index 0x2040) resets
the counters. Changing the limit values resets the affected counters.
