u Install unit.
u Observe the distances (x), (u) and (c):
u Ground sensor and tank via an electrical connection.
u Observe the maximum permitted level (b).
u Observe the parameter setting sequence:
• [MEdI] = [Auto]
• [OFS] = (u), e.g. (u)=1.0cm
A distance (a2) greater than 5.0 cm must be maintained between the maximum level (b) and the
mounting element.
Ensure the distance (a2) by suitable mechanical measures (e.g. overflow) or by setting a
threshold value in the controller.
Switch point [SP1] can be used for monitoring of the medium temperature.
If the unit must be reinitialised:
u Switch the operating voltage off and on again.
w The unit is ready for operation.
u Make further settings if necessary.
u Check whether the unit operates correctly.
9.5 Basic settings
9.5.1 Assign process values to the outputs
u Select [SEL1] for OUT1 / [SEL2] for OUT2:
u Assign process value to the output.
[LEVL] = the process value level is assigned to the output.
[TEMP] = the process value temperature is assigned to the output.

9.5.2 Assign process values to the display
u Select [SELd]:
u Select the process value to be displayed.
[LEVL] = level is displayed.
[TEMP] = temperature is displayed.
[SELd]
9.5.3 Offset setting
The distance between tank bottom and lower edge of the measuring probe can be entered as offset
value.
Set [OFS] before the values for SP1, rP1 and OP are entered.
This avoids unintentional wrong settings.
