6.7 Outputs
6.7.1 Relay outputs (OUT1/OUT2)
WARNING
No internal protection of the relay outputs
w Risk of fire/ electric shock due to overload/ short circuit
u The system architect must provide external protection/limitation to 6A in accordance
with the applicable regulations
w Protection guaranteed
u To prevent excessive wear and to comply with the EMC standards, interference suppression of the
contacts is required for switching inductive loads.
WARNING
Connection of different AC phase conductors to the AC power supply and relays OUT1 and
OUT2
w Electric shock possible
u For AC voltage supply, connect relay OUT1 and relay OUT2 to the same phase
conductor.
w Protection guaranteed
If the relay outputs are used for switching very small currents (e.g. PLC inputs), considerable
contact resistance can arise. In this case use the transistor outputs for DC.
6.7.2 Transistor outputs (OUT1/OUT2)
The transistor outputs are used to transmit the switching signal to other systems. They switch 24 V DC
PNP without bouncing.
The transistor outputs are only intended for resistive loads. Do not connect any inductive loads.
