A switching delay can be used to delay the setting of the switching signal. For the switching signal to
be set, the counter value must be greater than SP1 for at least as long as the set switching delay.
A reset delay can be used to delay the reset of the switching signal.
The hysteresis function is not available.
4.7.3 Two point mode
Can be combined with counter modules: CTUD, CTDIR
In two point mode, the user can define a setpoint (SP1) and a reset point (SP2). As soon as the
counter value increases and reaches SP1, the switching signal is set (ACTIVE). As soon as the
counter value falls and reaches SP2, the switching signal is reset (INACTIVE).

A switching delay can be used to delay the setting of the switching signal. For the switching signal to
be set, the counter value must be greater than SP1 for at least as long as the set switching delay.
A reset delay can be used to delay the reset of the switching signals. For the switching signal to be
reset, the counter value must be less than SP2 for at least as long as the set reset delay.
The hysteresis function is not available.
4.7.4 Latch mode
Can be combined with counter modules: CTU, CTD, CTUD, CTDIR
In latch mode, the overflow or underflow events and the control signal Latch Reset are evaluated to
derive the switching signal status.
As soon as the switching signal channel detects an overflow or underflow event, the switching signal is
set (ACTIVE). The switching signal remains in this state even if further overflow or underflow events
occur.
As soon as the switching signal channel detects a rising edge at the Latch Reset control signal, the
switching signal is reset (INACTVE).
If the switching signal channel simultaneously detects an overflow or underflow event and a rising
edge at the Latch Reset control signal, the switching signal is reset (INACTIVE).
No switching delay is available.
No reset delay is available.
The hysteresis function is not available.
4.7.5 Window mode
Can be combined with counter modules: CTUD, CTDIR
In window mode, the user can define two setpoints (SP1, SP2 with SP1 > SP2). The 2 setpoints
create a range.
If the counter value is within the SP1...SP2 range, the switching signal is set (ACTIVE).
If the counter value is outside the SP1...SP2 range, the switching signal is reset (INACTIVE).
