In the [Acyclic Enhanced] operating mode, the following options are also possible for each output:
• For the PWM output:
– [OFF] = 0% duty cycle
– [ON] = 100% duty cycle
– [KEEP LAST] = last valid duty cycle
• For the PWM-I output:
– [OFF] = 0 mA (0% duty cycle)
– [ON] = I

(PID control)
– [KEEP LAST] = last valid requested current (PID control)
4.3 Electrical isolation of the voltage supply
The voltage supply of the ports (UA) is electrically isolated from the voltage supply of the IO-Link
master (US).
An electrical connection between US and UA eliminates the electrical isolation. This can lead to
increased interference in the IO-Link communication.
4.4 Parameter setting
IO Device Description (IODD) with all parameters and process data of the unit can be found at
documentation.ifm.com.
4.5 Inputs/ outputs
The device has 8 ports (X1.0...X1.7).
Each port has 2 inputs/outputs, which can operate in the following 9 modes:
