9.1.2.2 Offline parameter setting
The device supports offline parameter setting. The user creates a configuration for the IO-Link master
and the connected IO-Link devices without being connected to the device. The configuration created
can be stored as a file (*.lrp) and loaded to the device and activated at a later point.
9.1.3 IoT interface
The [IoT] menu provides access to the parameters of the IoT interface.
9.1.3.1 Configuring the security mode
The device offers a security mode. The security mode protects access to the device via the IIoT
interface (ports XI1, XI2). The following conditions apply when safety mode is enabled:
• Access only by authentication (password protection)
• Access only via encrypted connection (TLS - Transport Layer Security)
Security mode is enabled in the factory settings and cannot be disabled (user name: admin, password:
password). The user can set a user-specific password.
When establishing a connection to the device, the user name and password are requested. After
entering the correct password, the user can access the device and the connected IO-Link devices
without restriction. At the end of the current session of the parameter setting software, the user name
and password are requested again, e.g. after a restart.

To set a user-specific password:
Requirements:
ü ifm moneo|configure has been started.
ü The connection to the device is established (online).
u Select the [IoT] menu.
w The menu page shows the current settings.
u In the [Security password] field, enter the user-specific password.
u Save the changes on the device.
w The user-specific password is enabled.
9.1.3.2 Configuring IP settings
For communication with the IT network, the IP parameters of the IoT interface must be configured.
