8 Set-up
8.1 Connect with IIoT network
The device is connected to the following instances via the IIoT interface:
• Parameter setting software, e.g. ifm moneo|configure
• Additional ifm IIoT devices at OT level, e.g. additional IO-Link masters
• IIoT applications, e.g. MQTT server or OPC UA clients
Behaviour of the IIoT interface during initial set-up:
• IP configuration via DHCP is active in the factory settings. The device is trying to obtain a valid IP
configuration from a DHCP server in the network.
• If no valid IP configuration can be obtained from a DHCP server, the IIoT interface is assigned an
IP address in the address range 169.254.0.0 to 169.254.255.255 using the link-local protocol.
u Connect the device to the IIoT network via port XI1, XI2.
u Call up the IoT Core Visualiser via the automatically assigned IP address.
u If necessary, set the IP configuration of the IIoT interface to manual addressing.
8.2 Connection to the fieldbus network
In the factory settings, the fieldbus interface has the following configuration:
Parameter PROFINET EtherNet/IP
IP address 0.0.0.0 192.168.1.250
Subnetwork 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0
gateway 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0
The IP configuration of the fieldbus interface can only be set via the respective fieldbus configuration
software.
ü The required fieldbus type is set.
u Connect the device to the fieldbus network via port XF1, XF2.
u Scan the network for devices in the fieldbus configuration software.
u Set the IP configuration of the fieldbus interface as required.
