3.6.2 Driver's door step
The automatic step on the driver's door makes it easier to enter and exit
through the driver's door.
◼ Open driver's door. The step extends automatically.
◼ Close driver's door. The step retracts automatically.
3.7 Electrically heated windscreen
The windscreen will only be heated when the engine is running.
Each heating loop heats its respective half of the windscreen. If one
heating loop fails, the other half of the windscreen will continue to be
heated.
The windscreen heater is used to dehumidify a misted windscreen and to
defrost a frosted windscreen.
Depending on the model, the switch panel with the rocker buttons is in-
stalled either in the dashboard or on the side, in the driver's door.

◼ Press the bottom half of the rocker switch (Fig. 11). The red LED of the
rocker switch is lit.
To protect the battery, the windscreen heater switches off automatically
after 18 minutes. The red LED of the rocker switch goes out.
◼ Press the top half of the rocker switch (Fig. 11). The red LED of the
rocker switch goes out.
