Battery charging status
The LED indicator shows the state of charge and if there are problems with
the charger.
LED indicator Status Note
The green charg-
ing indicator flashes
quickly.
The rapid-charging pro-
cedure is active.
Once approximatly 80%
of the battery capacity
has been reached, the
flashing of the green
battery charge indicator
will slow down. The
rapid-charging process
is now completed. The
battery can be removed
and used at any time.
If the battery remains in
the charger, the charg-
ing process will be per-
formed at a slower
pace.

The green charging

The battery is fully
charged.
The battery can then be
removed for immediate
use.
When there is no battery
connected, the continu-
ous light of the green
charging indicator indi-
cates that the mains
plug is plugged into the
plug socket and that the
charger is ready to be
used.
Battery cooling (Active Air Cooling) (P4A
18-C170)
The fan control unit integrated into the charger monitors the temperature
of the inserted battery. As soon as the battery temperature is above
approximately 0 °C, the fan switches on. The fan generates a ventilation
sound when switched on. If the fan does not run, it is defective or the battery
temperature is < 0°C. This can increase the charging time.
