6. REFRIGERANT TUBE CONNECTION
For R-32 refrigerant models, the piping connection points must be outside the room. The
connecting pipes cannot be reused.
1. Measure the distance between the indoor and outdoor units.
2. Using a pipe cutter, cut the pipe slightly longer than the measured distance.
CAREFUL
DO NOT deform the tube when cutting it. Be very careful not to damage, dent, or deform the pipe when
cutting it. If it becomes deformed, the heating eciency of the unit will be drastically reduced.
3. Make sure the pipes are cut at an exact 90º angle.
See the Img. 6.1 for examples of incorrect cuts.
Step 2: Remove Burrs
Burrs can affect the tight seal of refrigerant pipe joints. They must
be eliminated completely..
1. Hold the pipe at an angle downward to prevent cutting debris
from entering the pipe.
2. Using a reamer or deburring tool, remove all burrs from the cut
in the pipe.

Step 3: Flared Pipe Ends The use of proper aring is essential to
achieve a tight seal.
1. After removing burrs from the cut pipe, seal the ends with PVC tape
to prevent foreign materials from entering the inside of the pipe.
2. Cover the tube with insulating material.
3. Place the are nuts on both ends of the pipe. Make sure they are
facing the correct direction, as you will not be able to reposition them
or change their direction after they have been ared.

4. Remove the PVC tape from the ends of the pipe when you are ready
to perform aring operations.
5. Flared clamp at the end of the pipe. The end of the tube should
protrude from the ared shape.
