Rear fan P24887-001
Before removing the rear fan, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 19).
2. Remove the access panel (see Access panel on page 19).
3. Remove the fan duct (see Fan duct (UMA models only) on page 22).
Remove the rear fan:
1. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board connector (1).
2. From the back of the computer, remove the three screws (2) that secure the fan, and then lift the fan
(3) out of the computer.
To install the rear fan:
1. Position the fan on the inside of the computer so that the holes (1) in the fan fit into the metal tabs (2)
on the inside of the chassis.
2. Connect the fan cable to the system board connector (3).
3. From the outside of the computer, install the three screws (4).
