Cartridge access area
Follow these steps:
1. Press the Cancel button to cancel printing. If this does not clear the error, complete the following steps
to clear the jam manually.
2. Open the cartridge access door. Wait until the print carriage is idle and silent.
3. Press the Power button to turn o the printer. Then unplug the power cord and any other cables from
the printer.
CAUTION: To avoid the risk of electrical shock, you must unplug the power cord.
4. Use a ashlight to check for any jammed paper or foreign objects in the cartridge access area and remove
them.
To avoid tearing any whole sheets of paper, pull the paper with both hands gently.
5. If the print carriage is in the center of the printer, slide it to the right, and then remove any paper or objects
blocking the carriage.
6. Close the cartridge access door.
7. Reconnect the power cord and any other cables, and then turn on the printer.
