Introduction
The HK Audio CONTOUR series has established itself as an economical and
powerful point source speaker family on professional stages around the
world. The acoustic performance, sophisticated handling and unparalleled,
long-lasting German-made quality all combine to make CONTOUR the fi rst
choice for discerning professionals to this day.
With state-of-the-art components, the latest measurement and simula-
tion methods and relentless fi eld tests based on the wishes and ideas of
experienced users, the new CONTOUR X series continues this standard into
the next generation.
CONTOUR X 210 LT is the most powerful point source in the CONTOUR X
series, with outstanding long-throw characteristics and a wide range of
applications for horizontal clustering and rigging. It carries the sound with
crystal clarity over long distances, has an above-average e ciency and a
high-resolution frequency spectrum. Top-quality components and the so-
phisticated crossover guarantee precise signal resolution and high maximum
sound pressure levels. The MCT horn, developed using the empirical values
from the Cosmo series by means of BEM simulation, ensures uniform direc-
tional behaviour. As a high-performance point source with outstanding long-
throw characteristics or as a cluster with controlled directivity and additional
power in the lower mid-range, as an assertive sidefi ll on stage or as a club or
festival PA together with the CS 118 or CS 218 subwoofers – the CONTOUR X
210 LT always ensures exceptionally high-quality results.
Connection and speakers
The CONTOUR X 210 LT speakers are equipped with two NL-4 Speakon
connectors with sealing caps. The two parallel connections are located on the
rear of the speaker. One connection (not labelled as input) is used to connect
the signal-carrying speaker cable, while the second connection (not labelled
as output) is used to loop the signal through to other speakers.

Pin assignment for the connections
A total of 8 CONTOUR X 210 LTs can be operated on one Lab.Guppen 12k44.
A maximum of 2 power amplifi er signals can be routed on one NL4 line, with
the Pin Assignment switch being used to assign the speaker to one of the
two paths. We recommend operating a maximum of 2 CONTOUR X 210 LTs
with one power amplifi er channel of a Lap.Gruppen 12k44 amp.
MCT horn
The rotatable 60° x 25° horn with a powerful 1.4" driver enables a particular-
ly high degree of e ciency with a long
throw thanks to a carefully calculated
sound guide.
By loosening the four screws with
the tool supplied, the MCT horn
can be rotated to 25°x60° in no
time at all. The angles are clear- ly
labelled on the horns. After loosening the
screws, the horn must be rotated a quar-
ter turn (90°). The screws and fastening
parts cannot be lost for structural reasons. After unscrewing the horn and ro-
tating it 90°, the screws must be tightened again in their new position. This
results in an acoustic dispersion
behaviour of 25° per horn in a
cluster of several CONTOUR X
210 LT speakers.
