• The 7 mm twist drill with the 8 mm spacer sleeve and guide
tube increases the size of the existing 6 mm borehole in the
cylinder head in order to accommodate the M8x1 screw sleeve
(outside).
• Here too, drill to the end stop of 68 mm.
CAUTION: Always check the length, please use only the
supplied HAZET 4797-78 twist drill.
• Then remove the drilling chips (blow out).
• With the tap M8x1 HAZET 842IGL-M8x1 a new thread is cut in
order to screw in the threaded insert M6x1.
• Then remove the cutting chips (blow out).
• With the HAZET 4797-7 knob for screwing in, a thread insert
M6x1/M8x1 is screwed into the cut thread (specially-hardened
thread inserts, length approx. 20 mm).
• To attach the thread insert use for example Loctite
®
.
Then the injector can be reattached with the new original Mercedes-Benz expansion screw
CAUTION: Please observe the manufacturer's specifications when tightening the screws.
CAUTION: The specially-developped HAZET thread inserts are not interchangeable with
thread inserts from other manufacturers!
NOTE: Leaks are caused by damage or uncleanliness on the sealing seat of the injector
and can not be eliminated by tightening the fixing screws. Rework the sealing seat of the
injector. Please use new copper seals.
