Application:
• If the injector fixing screw has been torn off, either a residual
thread remains in the cylinder head or the thread is broken.
This HAZET 4797/10 thread repair set enables repair without
removing the injectors and the valve cover.
NOTE: If only the thread in the cylinder head has been
torn off the first two steps can be omitted.
• The specially-hardened drill sleeve HAZET 4797-8 is inserted
into the hole, so that the drill is guided (the drill sleeve surrounds
the existing remaining thread).
CAUTION: Always note the original thread length when
drilling and thread cutting, so as not to damage any
underlying channels.
• The hi-tech 6-mm twist drill HAZET 4797-6 is equipped with
a spacer sleeve, with which the drilling depth is determined.
CAUTION: Before drilling close the injector shaft and
any open holes.
• The rest of the injector screw is drilled at approx. 600 rpm. until
the end stop of 85 mm.
• When drilling use a coolant, e.g. drilling or cutting oil.
• Then remove the drill sleeve and the drilling chips (blow out).
CAUTION: Always check the length, please use only the supplied HAZET 4797-6 twist drill.
