Measurements at the source of the low-
voltage installation (meter, main connection,
primary overcurrent protection). Typical short-
circuit current >> 50 kA
To determine the measuring category for a combi-
nation of measuring cable and measuring device,
the lowest category of either the measuring cable
or the measuring device always applies.
When using this current clamp meter, the user
must observe all the usual safety rules:
• Protection against hazards caused by electric current.
• Protection of the meter against misuse.
For your own safety, only use the measuring
heads supplied with the device. Before using the
device, check that it is in perfect condition.
Maintenance and cleaning
Clean the housing at regular intervals with a
dry cloth without cleaning agents. Do not use
abrasives, scouring agents or solvents.
To avoid electric shocks, do not
allow moisture to enter the housing.
Battery change
Procedure:
• When the working voltage of the battery
becomes too low, the
symbol appears
on the LCD display; the battery must then
be replaced.
• Loosen the locking screw on the back with
a screwdriver. Remove used batteries and
replace with two new batteries of type 1.5
V AAA.
• Replace cover and secure with screw.
