assembly

fasteners contrary to this instruction

■ Proceed exactly according to the as-

sembly instructions.

Placing the drill holes

WARNING

Improper installation of the appliance

can lead to injury.

■ Before drilling the holes, ensure that

no wires or cables (power, gas, water

etc.) will be damaged (check with a

line locator).

CAUTION

Fire hazard!

Improper handling of the appliance can

lead to ﬁre and damage to property.

■ The minimum distance between the

supporting surface for the cooking

vessels on the hob and the lowest

part of the range hood. (When the

range hood is located above a gas ap

pliance, this distance shall be at least

65 cm. If the instructions for installa

tion for the gas hob specify a great-

er distance, this has to be taken into

account. The distance of 65 cm can

be reduced for

– non-combustible parts of range

hoods, and

– parts operating at safety extra low

voltage, provided these parts do

not give access to live parts if de

formed).

1. In order to place the appliance exactly

over the centre of the stovetop, first use

the pencil to draw a vertical guiding line

on the wall.

Ideally, use a level or a plumb bob from

the ceiling of the room to the middle of the

stovetop.

2. Draw the five drill holes on the wall, fol-

lowing the upper diagram. Pay attention

to the hole distance and horizontal orien-

tation of the wall brackets.

3. Drill holes at the marked points, using a

diameter that can accommodate the dow-

els.

4. Place the dowels into the holes.
