Holiday mode
CAUTION
Health hazard!
Insuffi cient cooling can cause stored
food to spoil.
This could lead to a risk of food poison-
ing when consumed.
■ Note that the shelf life of stored food
may be shortened due to a rise in the
temperature inside the appliance.
■ Remove stored food from the appli-
ance – even when only switching off
the appliance temporarily – and store
it in a suffi ciently cool place or in an-
other cooling appliance.
■ Consume thawed and defrosted
foods immediately, do not refreeze.
If you won’t use the appliance for a prolonged
period (e.g. if you go on holiday), you can ac-
tivate “Holiday mode”. This will save energy.
The fridge will switch off when “Holiday mode”
is active. The temperature in the freezer is
kept at –18 °C.
Activating “Holiday mode”
1. Unlock the control panel as described
in section “Locking/unlocking the control
panel” on page EN-12.
2. Press the button (20) for approx. 3 sec-
onds.
The
indicator (18) will appear on the
display. The freezer temperature display
will change to –18 °C.
The fridge temperature display will disap-
pear.
Deactivating “Holiday mode”
1. Unlock the control panel as described
in section “Locking/unlocking the control
panel” on page EN-12.
2. Press the button (20) for approx. 3 sec-
onds.
The
indicator (18) will disappear from
the display. The temperature display for
the freezer will return to the original set-
ting; the fridge temperature will reappear.
Door alarm
The use of energy and the temperature inside
the appliance can increase if the doors are
opened often or for long periods of time.
A beep will sound if the fridge door (2) is left
open for longer than 2 minutes.
• Close the fridge door (2).
The shelves
The glass shelves (15) can be removed. The
lower glass shelf (15) can be rearranged as
required.
The door shelves (3) can be removed and
rearranged as necessary.
The large drawers in the freezer can also be
removed. You can remove e.g. the “Conven-
ient zone” drawer (10) to create more space
in the large drawer (9) below it.
You will achieve the most efficient use of en-
ergy for your appliance if you combine the
drawers, glass shelves and door shelves as
shown in the figure on page EN-10.
1. To remove the glass shelves (15), lift them
slightly at the front and then pull them out
of the guide rail.
2. Place the glass shelves back into the de-
sired positions.
