General safety instructions for LI-ion batteries
• This appliance may only be used by children aged 8 years
and over if they are supervised or have been instructed in
the safe use of the appliance and understand the dangers
associated with its use. Cleaning and maintenance should
not be performed by children unless they are 8 years of
age or older and under adult supervision. The appliance
and its connecting cables are to be kept away from
children younger than 8 years. This appliance may only
be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capacities or lack of experience and/or knowledge
if they have been supervised or instructed in the safe use
of the appliance and can understand the hazards arising
therefrom. Children must never be allowed to play with
the appliance.
• All safety warnings and instructions must be read
carefully. Failure to adhere to them may result in electric
shock, fire and/or serious injury. Retain all safety

Using the battery and battery-operated
electrical devices
• Only ever charge the battery with a suitable charger. This
must meet the following technical specifications:

injury and pose a fire hazard.
• When not in use, keep batteries away from paper clips,
coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, as
these could bridge the contacts. A short circuit between
the battery contacts can lead to burns or a fire.
• Fluid may leak from the battery if used improperly. Contact
with this should be avoided. In the event of accidental
contact, rinse the affected area with water. If the liquid
