Testing external data medium
You can test the external data media to see if it
is suitable for the required functions.
1 Select »Speed Test« from the »Device
Info Setting« menu with »

2 After a short time the speed test result of the
external data medium is displayed on the
screen.
3 Confirm »Exit« with »
« to exit the Speed
Test menu.
Enabling and disabling the time
shift function
You can turn time shift off or on with this feature.
1 Press »

« to return to the TV mode.

– The Time Shift Mode menu shall be
displayed.

Time shift disc set-up
If you are going to connect an external data
medium to TV for the first time and use it for time
shift, a disc set-up is required.
Automatic disc set-up
1 Connect the external data medium to the
USB input of TV.

To make a timeshift disk setup, »Time Shift
Mode« must be selected as »On«.

– The external data medium is automatically
configured and the message »Disc Set-up

external data medium is formatted by TV.

An external disc larger than 4 GB is
required for this operation.

Auto set-up creates 4GB time shift space
on discs below 32GB and 16GB on discs
above 32GB.

– Formatting progress is displayed on the
screen.
6 When formatting is complete, select the
size you want to reserve for time shifting
according to the size of the external data
medium with »

– The external data medium is manually
configured and the message »Disc Set-up
Complete« is displayed.
