The used charger should be taken to a disposal centre for this type of
waste.
ATTENTION: The device is designed for indoor operation.
Despite the use of an inherently safe design, the use of safety
measures and additional protective measures, there is always a
residual risk of injury during work.
Li-Ion batteries can leak, catch fire or explode if they are heated to high
temperatures or short-circuited. Do not store them in the car during hot
and sunny days. Do not open the battery pack. Li-Ion batteries contain
electronic safety devices which, if damaged, can cause the battery to
catch fire or explode.
CONSTRUCTION AND PURPOSE
The router is a hand-held, battery-powered DC power tool. It is driven by
a brushless motor mounted vertically to the surface to be machined. This
type of power tool is widely used for routing in wood and wood-like
materials. Areas of application include light carpentry, parquet work,
decorating or renovation and construction. Do not misuse the power tool.
OPERATION OF THE DEVICE
Commissioning the device
Before starting the machine, install the correct cutter for the work to be
carried out. To start the cutter, insert a charged battery in the socket Fig.
A4. Be sure to use only the manufacturer's recommended batteries. To
start the cutter, press the switch fig. B2. Above the switch the green LED
will light up to indicate that the router is switched on, and the LED
illuminating the work area will light up. It will start when the speed
adjustment button is pressed. Adjust the spindle speed to the work to be
carried out by pressing the button fig. B3. By default, the machine will start
at the highest speed, each subsequent press of the speed adjustment
button fig. B3 will reduce the speed of the router. Before making contact
with the surface on which the machine will be working, the machine must
reach the maximum set speed and only then can work begin. To finish
work, press the switch Fig. B2 again and release it, the machine will then
stop.
FITTING OR DISMANTLING THE MILLING MACHINE HOLDER
NOTE: Always ensure that the tool is switched off and the battery is
removed from the socket before working on the tool.
Open the locking lever on the trimmer base fig A6, then insert the
cutter body into the cutter guide fig D, aligning the groove on the
tool with the projection on the trimmer base.
Close the locking lever. fig. A6
To remove the base, follow the installation procedure in reverse
order.
NOTE: If the tool is not secured when the locking lever is closed, tighten
the hex nut and then close the locking lever. Fig. E
ASSEMBLING AND DISMANTLING THE HOOD/DUST EXTRACTION
PORT
Insert the dust extraction nozzle into the hole located in the milling
body holder fig. H into the base on the side of the milling depth
scale, then tighten the thumb screw fig. A11. To remove the nozzle,
proceed in reverse to the filling procedure.
A hoover can be connected to the spigot Fig. I
INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL OF THE PICK
CAUTION: Do not tighten the collet nut without inserting the cutter. The
collet cone may break.
Insert the cutter tip all the way into the collet cone fig. B5. Press the
spindle lock fig. B4 and tighten the collet nut fig. F with the spanner
fig. F.
To remove the cutter, proceed in the opposite way to installation.
If the cutter is very tightly clamped in the holder fig. G, use the two
spanners included in the kit. One of them is inserted in the
corresponding place of the spindle fig. G1 (in order to lock the
spindle) and the other spanner placed on the nut fig. G4 is used to
unscrew it in the direction fig. G2.

NOTE: The spindle lock may not return to its original position after
tightening the nut when installing the cutter. To unlock the spindle to its
original position, move the spindle Fig. B5 with your hand.
NOTE: Only after ensuring that the cutter is correctly and firmly installed
can work commence.
SETTING THE MILLING DEPTH
ATTENTION ! Care must be taken when installing the cutter, the unit is to
be switched off and the battery removed from the socket.
Install the cutter in the chuck.
Place the router on a flat surface.
Release the lock Fig. A6.
Extend the cutter above the foot of the base to the desired height
using the knob in Fig. A5.
Lock the set milling depth with the locking device fig. A6.
The unit is ready for operation.
You can proceed with the milling machine.
ATTENTION ! when using a large diameter cutter or when deep milling is
required, we strongly recommend working in several passes, gradually
increasing the milling depth with the knob in figure A5.
INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL OF THE PARALLEL GUIDE
Fasten the longitudinal guide with the nut fig. A3 with the shorter
side to the body holder fig. K1 so that, the longer side fig. K2 is at
the same level as the surface of the trimmer foot fig. K5.
Fix the parallel guide fig. K4 to the longitudinal guide fig. K2 with
wing nut fig. K3.
Extend the parallel guide to the desired distance
Then tighten the thumb screw fig. K3.
To remove the guide, follow the above installation procedure in
reverse order.
MILLING MACHINE OPERATION WITH BASE
Position the tool base on the workpiece without making contact with
the cutter tip.
Switch on the tool and wait for the cutter to reach full speed.
Press the device down using the handles.
Move the tool forward along the surface of the workpiece. When
moving the tool, keep the tool base in one plane parallel to the
workpiece.
NOTE. When edge milling, ensure that the workpiece surface is to the left
of the trimmer tip in the direction of feed Fig. I.
NOTE: Before working on the actual workpiece, it is advisable to carry out
a trial milling. The correct feed speed depends on the size of the cutter,
the type of material to be machined and the depth of milling. Advancing
the tool forward too quickly can result in poor milling quality or damage to
the cutter tip or motor. Advancing the tool forward too slowly can burn and
damage the workpiece.
NOTE: If you are using a large-diameter cutter, want to mill to a great
depth or are working in hard material, we recommend that the work is done
in several passes. This will allow you to execute in an aesthetically
pleasing and safe manner.
INSTALLATION OF THE COPY TEMPLATE
The template guide allows repeated cutting with the template. Loosen the
screws on the base plate, then remove the plate from the router base.
Place the template guide on the base, then reattach the base by
tightening the screws Fig. L.
Place the trimmer on the template and move it with the template guide
sliding along the side of the template.
NOTE: The actual cut size on the workpiece differs slightly from the
template. The difference is due to the distance (X) between the cutter and
the outside of the template guide. The distance (X) can be calculated using
the equation below: Distance (X) = (outer diameter of template guide -
diameter of cutter) / 2 (fig.6)
TRIMMER GUIDE ATTACHMENT
NOTE: The router guide allows curved sides, such as furniture veneers,
to be trimmed by moving the guide roller along the side of the workpiece.
Loosen the clamp screw of figure M3, then install the router guide on the
router base and tighten the clamp screw.
Loosen the clamping screw fig. M2 and fig. M1 and adjust the distance
between the cutter and the cutter guide by turning the adjustment screw
(1 mm (3/64") per revolution). Once the desired distance is set, tighten
the clamping screws Fig. M1 and Fig. M2 to secure the router guide.
Move the tool with the guide roller on the workpiece side fig. N.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
The milling machine is designed for long-term operation with minimal
maintenance. Proper and long-lasting operation depends on proper
machine care and regular cleaning.
- Keep the machine's ventilation slots clean to prevent the engine from
overheating.
- Clean the machine housing regularly with a soft cloth, preferably after
each use.
- Keep ventilation slots free from dust and dirt.
- If the dirt does not come off, use a soft cloth dampened with soapy water.
