PREPARATION
The concrete compaction vibrator has been designed to compact concrete
so that the mass is as cohesive and homogeneous as possible. The
concrete mixture is compacted by displacing voids between the aggregate
grains. Concrete subjected to the vibrator becomes stronger and more
durable. The unit is driven by an AC commutator motor through a gearbox
and flexible shaft.
OPERATION OF THE DEVICE
Mounting the vibrator
NOTE: Make sure the vibrator is disconnected from the power source
before installation to avoid unwanted activation.
Step 1. Connect the vibrator drive pin fig. B5 to the shaft seat fig. B2 of
the vibrator.
Step 2. Insert the drive pin fig. B5 so that it slides completely into the
vibrator shaft seat fig. B2 and engage the thread of the retaining ring fig.
B5 with the retaining nut fig. B3.
Step 3 Turn the nut Fig. B3 counterclockwise as far as it will go. Make
sure that the connection between the drive and the shaft with the vibrator
roll is stable.
The device is ready for use.
Before each use
Check the supply voltage at the work site. The vibrator uses 230V.
Check the vibrator for wear or damage.
If necessary, clean the vibrator using only soap and a damp cloth.
Many cleaning agents are harmful to plastics and insulation.
Never allow fluid to enter the engine.
Work
Do not unnecessarily run the unit with the shaft out of operation for an
extended period of time. This can cause overheating and damage to the
bearing.
Grasp the main handle Fig. A8 of the machine and with the other
hand support and hold the housing near the motor.
Press the Fig. A7 switch, which is located on the handle. Insert the
vibrator drum into the concrete, the unit starts to operate and vibrate.
If you release the switch Fig. A7, the engine will stop running.
If you operate the unit by pressing the switch trigger and then press
the lock button fig. A6, the motor will operate without pressing the
switch fig. A7.
If you want to release the continuous operation lock button fig. A6,
press the switch again fig. A7.
NOTE: if the motor is running but the vibrator buzzer is not vibrating, hit
the ground with it while the unit is on. If the buzzer vibrates, the unit is
operating normally.
Hold the flex hose with the head roll in the air or place it on a soft
surface when starting the engine. This will prevent the tip from
bouncing on a hard surface during start-up, which could damage the
internal bearings.
During use, insert the head into the mix fairly quickly, but pull it out
slowly when removing it. Rapid removal is a major cause of poor
concrete consolidation.
For best results, fully immerse the head and try to establish a regular
pattern of insertion and removal.
Avoid vibrating an area of wet concrete for long periods of time, as
this can cause excessive separation of the material.
Avoid sharp bends in the flexible hose. This can cause hot spots.
Do not let the power cord touch wet concrete, as this can cause a
short circuit in the electrical system.
When moving the vibrator in the work area, do not drag the head on
the ground.
Avoid touching the moulds and bars when inserting the head into
the mix.
If the vibrator suddenly stops, turn off the switch and disconnect the
power source. Check the device and the power cord for damage.
If the vibrator is not used for more than 15 minutes:
1. check that the power switch is off.
2. disconnect from power source.
3. wash residual cement concrete from flexible hose and head
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
- Clean the vibrator only with soap and a damp cloth. Many cleaning
agents are harmful to plastics and insulation. - Never allow liquid to get
inside the motor
- Check that the vibrator buoy is not worn or damaged. Damaged or worn
parts should be replaced before next use
- When storing the vibrator, place the vibrator together with the power
supply in a safe place. Disconnect the flexible hose from the motor body.
The machine is designed to operate for a long time with minimal
maintenance. Continued satisfactory operation depends on proper
machine care and regular cleaning.
