Making Soup
1. Ensure the on/off/speed knob is in the Off position.
2. Add all ingredients in the jar and secure the lid. The lid must be secure or
the blender will not work.
CAUTION: Do not exceed the MAX line when adding ingredients to the jar.
3. Secure the jar on the base.
4. Plug in the blender.
5. Rotate the on/off/speed knob to the On position. All four buttons on the
control panel will illuminate.
6. Press the Soup button. This button remains illuminated, but the others will
turn off. The blender begins to work.
CAUTION: Never remove the jar from the base while the blender is on.
Always turn off the blender first.
7. Rotate the on/off/speed knob to the Off position or press any button to
stop blending at any time.
Note: The speed cannot be adjusted using the on/off/speed knob when using the
Soup button.
8. You may add more ingredients by carefully opening the lid cap /
measuring cup and dropping ingredients through the lid hole. Replace the
lid cap when you are done.
Note: See Using Pulse Mode on page 13 to maximize the blender’s speed and
power.
9. When finished, the blender stops automatically.
10. Unplug the blender, remove the jar from the base, remove the lid, and
pour.
CAUTION: To prevent overheating, wait 30 minutes if you wish to use the
blender again.
