7. Settings and displays
7.1 Display exponential numbers
The calculator can display results with up to 10 digits.
Larger results are automatically displayed as exponential
numbers.
There are two possibilities to display exponential
numbers.
1. To switch the display, repeatedly press the MODE key
until you see the following display.
2. Press 3. The display will show 1 for Norm1 and 2 for
Norm2.
- NORM1: Exponential numbers are automatically
displayed for values exceeding 10 digits and with more
than 2 decimal points.
- NORM2: Exponential numbers are automatically
displayed for values exceeding 10 digits and with more
than 9 decimal points.
3. Press 1 for Norm1 or 2 for Norm2.
NOTE: Norm1 is preset. All examples in these instructions
show the display with NORM1.
7.2 Decimal point and separator
You can switch from the use of a decimal point and the
1000 separator symbol.
1. To switch the display, repeatedly press the MODE key
until you see the following display.
