This paragraph describes the various options which allow you to set up your unit
to suit your needs.

Mask Mode Select the receiving mode. (See

Auto Rcv
Mask*
Turn Auto mode on/off. Off, On
Local
Channel*
Select the local channel. 490kHz, 4209.5kHz
Rcv Mask* Receive messages in the category. -
INS Output
Mask*
Set the station and type of message to
output to the INS.

Printer Mask* Select the station and message to print
out automatically (See paragraph 2.8.)
*: Not available on INS mode.

Warn Msg Alm
Turn the audible alarm on/off when receiving a
Warning message (A, B, and L).
Off, On
Signal Monitor
Turn the audible alarm for monitoring of Rx
signal on/off.
Off: Disable monitoring.
Int’l: Monitor international frequency.
Local: Monitor local frequency.
Off, Int’l, Local
Key Beep Turn the key beep on/off. Off, On
Time Offset
If a GPS receiver feeds nav data to the NAVTEX,
you may use local time instead of UTC time.
Enter the time difference between local time and
UTC time.

Select units of measurement (distance and ship
speed) to be shown on the User Display.
