Running-in period
The speaker drivers used in the Integration UTOPIA CINEMA loudspeakers are complex mechanical components which need
a break-in period to operate at their best and to become acclimatised to the temperature and humidity of your environment.
This running-in period varies depending on the conditions in question and may take several weeks. To reduce this time, we
recommend operating your loudspeakers for about twenty consecutive hours at a moderate power level. Once the louds-
peakers' characteristics have stabilised completely, you will be able to enjoy your Integration UTOPIA CINEMA loudspeakers’
performance to the full.
Spacers
Spacers should be fitted to the underside of the loudspeaker (depending on whether it is vertical or horizontal) – CINEMA
LCR, see fig.1 – CINEMA SUB, see fig.11. These prevent vibrations once the loudspeaker has been installed and, in the case of
stacked loudspeakers, prevent the UTOPIA CINEMA range loudspeakers from sticking to each other.
Connection
UTOPIA CINEMA loudspeakers can be powered via Speakon connectors or a push spring terminal (CINEMA LCR, see fig.2 –
CINEMA SUB, see fig.12). You will only be able to install your loudspeakers once you have wired them up. Make sure you leave
enough cable length to be able to easily connect your product. If you are using the push spring terminal, we recommend using
the cable with a marker to ensure the polarity of the speaker drivers is respected (+/-). Choose cables of the appropriate
quality and cross-section for the length and power.
Choosing an amplifier
It is not an excess of amplifier power that can damage your loudspeaker and drivers, but rather a lack of power. In fact, if the
volume is too high, the amplifier saturates and generates parasite signals that may destroy the tweeter. The dynamic capa-
city and definition of Integration UTOPIA CINEMA loudspeakers are high enough to reveal the strengths and weaknesses of
whatever amplifier is connected to them.
Fastenings
When installing the four brackets, follow the different mounting points depending on the orientation of the UTOPIA CINEMA
loudspeaker (CINEMA LCR, see fig.3 – CINEMA SUB, see fig.13).
The installation configuration of the UTOPIA CINEMA loudspeaker may vary depending on the mounting points selected on
the bracket. It is up to the installer to make this decision. The loudspeaker can therefore be installed flush with the partition
wall or with an internal or external offset (CINEMA LCR, see fig.4 – 4.1 – CINEMA SUB, see fig.14 – 14.1).
