If the fuse in the on/off switch is tripped by an
overload in the electrical outlet module, it can
be reset by switching off and on again[1-4].
If it still cannot be switched on after reset
ting the fuse, contact a Festool service
workshop.
8.2 Changing air filters
CAUTION
Hazardous dust
Damage to the respiratory passage
► Wear a dust mask.
► Always use a disposal bag.
► Comply with national regulations.
Always change the prefilter before transport,
approx. every fourhours during operation or
when the red LED lights up (see section9.1).
If the red LED still lights up after changing the
prefilter, also change the main filter.
Opening air purifiers[3A]
► Press the closure of the prefilter
flap[3-2] downwards.
► Swivel the prefilter flap[3-1] and
remove.
Changing prefilters[3B]
► Remove the prefilter[3-3] from the
prefilter flap.
► Dispose of the prefilter in a well-sealed
disposal bag[3-4].
► Insert a new prefilter into the prefilter
flap.
WARNING! When changing the filter, make
sure that there are no persons in the vicinity.
Escaping dust can lead to damage to the respi
ratory passage.
Removing main filters[3C]
► Swivel the main filter[3-5] forwards.
► Pull the swivelled main filter out of the
air purifier.
► Dispose of the main filter in a well-
sealed disposal bag[1-16].
Inserting main filters[3D]
CAUTION! Ensure that the correct main filter
dust class appropriate for the machine is
chosen.
► Push a new main filter[3-6], in a swiv
elled position, as far as it will go into the air
purifier.
►
Swivel the main filter upwards until it
clicks.
Closing air purifiers[3E]
► Insert the prefilter flap at an angle, swivel
and close.
☑ Closure of the prefilter flap engages.
8.3 Suction hose
Installing an extraction adapter and suction
hose
WARNING

Damage to the respiratory passage
► Wear a dust mask.
For low-dust working, the extraction
adapter[4-2] and the suction hose[4-1] are
available as accessories. Both can be installed
without tools.
► Place the suction hose over the extrac
tion adapter.
► Fix the suction hose to the extraction
adapter.
► Clip the extraction adapter into the grille
of the prefilter flap[4-3].
Laying a suction hose
DANGER
Risk of suffocation due to carbon monoxide
If the suction hose is in a sealed-off space
with open lighting outlets, fireplaces, chim
neys, ovens, water heaters, air conditioning
units, etc., combustion air can be sucked
"backwards" into the workspace.
► Stop using all sources of combustion air.
