About the DTP CrossPoint 4K Series Matrix Switchers
The DTP CrossPoint 4K Series Matrix Switchers (see figure 1 on the next page) distribute HDCP-compliant
HDMI and Extron proprietary DTP or XTP video and audio signals. A matrix switcher routes any input signal to
any combination of outputs. It can route multiple input and output configurations simultaneously.
The Extron DTP CrossPoint 4K Series provides HDMI and DTP twisted pair inputs and outputs, 4K scaling, and
audio DSP with Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC) on the mic inputs. Most models include an integrated audio
power amplifier and a built-in IPCP Pro xi control processor. The switcher provides complete system integration
for large AV systems, supporting applications requiring several displays, sound reinforcement, and AV system
control. All inputs and outputs support video resolutions up to 4K. Depending on the model, some or all DTP
matrix outputs are powered by Extron Vector 4K scaling technology, capable of seamless switching and scaled
resolutions up to 4K. DTP extension allows connection to DTP endpoints and XTP matrix switchers. Full audio
optimization is provided by a built-in Extron ProDSP audio digital signal processor that can be linked to a second
Extron DSP for I/O expansion.
The switchers are available in four matrix sizes (the number of inputs and outputs) and three equipment
configurations (differentiated by their audio and control capabilities) for a total of 12 models:

• DTP CrossPoint 108 4K — 10x8 DTP matrix switcher
• DTP CrossPoint 86 4K — 8x6 DTP matrix switcher
• DTP CrossPoint 84 4K — 8x4 DTP matrix switcher
• DTP CrossPoint 82 4K — 8x2 DTP matrix switcher
Equipment configurations —
• DTP CrossPoint 4K IPCP SA — Includes a stereo audio amplifier and a built-in Extron IPCP Pro xi
control processor.
• DTP CrossPoint 4K IPCP MA — Includes a 70 V mono audio amplifier and a built-in Extron IPCP Pro xi
control processor.
• DTP CrossPoint 4K — Unamplified audio outputs only. No IPCP Pro xi control processor is included
The switchers have RS-232 and infrared (IR) insertion ports on all DTP inputs and outputs that allow you to route
bidirectional control signals to the connected devices.
The switchers provide four mono microphone (mic)/line level inputs that can be mixed with one or all audio
outputs. Adjustable mic input audio gain and attenuation compensates for level differences among audio
inputs. The DTP CrossPoint 4K Series also include a built-in digital signal processor (DSP) that provides a wide
variety of microphone pre-amplifier controls, mixers, filters, dynamics processors, and feedback suppressors.
