10 Setting up and connecting
The packaging materials must be undamaged. Inspect the appliance for transport
damage. On no account should a damaged appliance be connected to the mains power
supply. In case of damage, contact the supplier. Dispose th packaging materials in an
environmentally friendly manner.
10.1 Removing transport protection
The appliance and some of the interior parts are secured for transport. Remove all
adhesive tape. Remove residues of adhesive with white spirits. Remove all adhesive
tapes and packaging parts from the interior of the appliance.
Ø Remove the transport lock before commissioning.
Setting up the appliance
Install the appliance in a well-ventilated and dry room.
Air circulation affects the energy consumption and performance of the appliance. Observe
the minimum ventilation cross-sections for ventilating the appliance.
Ø To set up the appliance, you need a stable and level floor (load
capacity min. 80 kg). Carpet or carpeting should be removed if
necessary; long-pile carpeting is unsuitable.
Ø Keep the compressor and condenser free of dust and fluff.
Otherwise, the appliance's fluff filter will become unnecessarily
dirty and the appliance will no longer be supplied with sufficient
room air.
Ø Do not lift the appliance by protruding appliance parts (e.g.
appliance door), risk of breakage.
