10.2 Installing the exhaust air hose
1. Attach the exhaust air hose to the exhaust air connection at the back of the
appliance and turn it clockwise to tighten.
WARNING
RISK OF SUFFOCATION AND POISONING!
The exhaust air duct must never be installed on one of the following chimneys or shafts:
• Smoke or flue gas chimneys that are in operation.
• Chimneys that are used to ventilate installation rooms with fireplaces.
• Chimneys used by third parties.
• If smoke or flue gas is forced back, there is a risk of poisoning.
WARNING

• There is a risk of suffocation and poisoning due to exhaust fumes being sucked
back in if gas flow heaters, gas heaters, coal stoves with chimney connections etc.
are installed in the same room, in the home or in neighbouring rooms and the
negative pressure is 4 Pa or more.
• In order to avoid negative pressure in the installation room, sufficient ventilation
is necessary, for example by installing non-closable ventilation openings in the
outer wall.
• Safe operation and the avoidance of a negative pressure of 4 Pa or more must be
confirmed by a chimney sweep.
