10 Setting up and connecting
The packaging materials must be undamaged. Inspect the appliance for transport
damage. On no account should a damaged appliance be connected to the mains power
supply. In case of damage, contact the supplier. Dispose of packaging materials in an
environmentally friendly manner.
10.1 Removing transport protection
The appliance and some of the interior parts are secured for transport. Remove all
adhesive tape. Remove residues of adhesive with soapsuds. Remove all adhesive tapes
and packaging parts from the inside of the appliance.
Setting up the appliance

FIRE HAZARD!
Always keep the installation area of the dryer free of dust and fluff. Contamination in the
intake air can lead to blockages, which can cause malfunctions and pose a fire hazard.
Install the appliance in a well-ventilated and dry room.
Air circulation affects the energy consumption and performance of the appliance. To
ventilate the appliance, observe the minimum ventilation cross-sections, see the
information in the "Installation" chapter.
➢ To set up the appliance, you need a stable and level floor (load
capacity min. 80 kg). Carpet or carpeting should be removed if
necessary, long-pile carpeting is unsuitable.
➢ Keep the compressor and condenser free of dust and fluff.
Otherwise, the appliance's fluff filter will become unnecessarily
dirty and the appliance will no longer be supplied with sufficient
room air.
➢ A correctly installed earthed socket outlet should be within
reach of the appliance.
➢ Do not damage the mains cable when setting up the appliance.
➢ Install the appliance in a dry room that ensures air circulation
with a fresh air supply.
➢ Do not install in a room where there is a risk of frost! Freezing
water can cause damage!
➢ Do not lift the appliance by protruding appliance parts (e.g.
appliance door), risk of breakage!
