11 Putting the appliance into operation
Clean the appliance and the interior parts thoroughly before putting into operation
(see chapter 12).
11.1 Switching the appliance On
1. Connect the appliance to the mains power supply.
2. Check power plug for secure fit. Electrical connection, refer to the nameplate. The
device is ready for operation.
Switching the appliance Off
1. Unplug the power plug from the socket.
2. The device is turned off and no longer cooling.
Temperature Setting
• Set the temperature according to the ambient temperature at the installation
location if the equipment is changed or if the appliance door is opened and closed
frequently.
• With very high summer temperatures, set the temperature regulator to a higher
level to maintain the desired cooling temperature.
• For optimum energy consumption, leave the drawers in the appliance as shown
(see section 3.2 Proper storage of food).
Freezing temperature
1. Press SET.
à Temperature lights up.
2. Press SET until the desired temperature level is reached.
The set temperature may differ from the temperature inside the unit.
The temperature is dependent on the following factors:
• Ambient temperature
• Location of installation
• Load
• Frequency of door opening
Super Freeze
Freezing temperature automatically drops to the coldest temperature. Freshly stored
frozen food freezes through more quickly.
1. Press SET for 3 seconds.
à LED SUPER lights up.
2. To deactivate manually press SET for 3 seconds.
à LED SUPER goes out. The appliance returns to the previous temperature setting.
Door-open alarm
If the appliance door is open for more than 90 seconds, a signal sounds and the 5 LEDs
light up.
Close the appliance door or press the "SET" button to stop the alarm.
