9 Preparing the appliance for installaon
Unpacking the appliances
• Carefully unpack the induction hob.
• Inspect the induction hob for damage.
WARNING
RISK OF CUTTING INJURIES FROM DAMAGED AND
SHARP EDGES!
Have a damaged hob replaced immediately by After Sales Service.
ATTENTION
The packaging materials must be undamaged.
• On no account should a damaged appliance be installed or put into operation.
• In case of damage, contact After Sales Service or the supplier.
Transport instructions
Inspect the appliance for transport damage.
Removing transport protection
The oven and induction hob are protected for transport.
• Remove all adhesive tapes, polystyrene inserts and plastic film.
• Carefully remove residues of adhesive with white spirit.
Report visible signs of damage to After Sales Service immediately
Preparing the worktop
• The worktop in which the induction hob is to be installed must be at least 38 mm
thick.
• The induction hob must lie horizontally and be sealed against the wall to prevent
liquids from overflowing.
• The cut edges of the worktop must be sealed with special lacquer, silicone rubber
or cast resin to prevent swelling due to moisture.
• The distance between the cut-out edges on the sides and the left-hand or right-
hand wall must be at least 50 mm.
• The cut-out must be in the middle of the furniture base.
• The kitchen furniture, including carrier material, surface coating, adhesives and
sealing materials must have adequate heat resistance of at least 100 °C in
accordance with DIN 68930:2009-11.
Install induction hob
CAUTION
RISK OF CUTTING INJURIES FROM A CRACKED GLASS
CERAMIC HOB!
Do not stand the glass induction hob on its corners. Risk of glass breakage!
