3.1.2. Connecon
Emote can connect to your H9000 in three ways:
Ethernet, directly to your computer.
Ethernet, through your local area network.
Wirelessly, by using the included Wi-Fi adapter.
Note
Emote cannot connect to the H9000 via USB, but it does display the sengs for, and the current
state of, the H9000’s USB Audio and MIDI.
3.1.2.1. Connecng to Emote With an Ethernet Connecon
Plug one end of an ethernet cable into the H9000, then plug the other end of the ethernet cable into
either your computer or your router.
Power on your H9000, and open Emote. The H9000 will appear in Emote in a couple minutes, once it
fully boots.
Aer connecng to Emote with an ethernet connecon, you can connue to use ethernet, or
alternavely you may select a Wi-Fi network for use with the included Wi-Fi adapter.
3.1.2.2. Connecng the H9000R to Emote With a Wi-Fi Connecon
If no ethernet is present, you must create an inial connecon between the H9000R and Emote by
using a Wi-Fi access point.
Plug the included Wi-Fi adapter into any USB port on the H9000R.
Turn on the H9000R, while simultaneously pressing the front panel “Network” buon. This will
acvate the H9000R’s Wi-Fi access point at startup. Note that boong with the “Network” buon
held down will also implement the Clear Current State (Secon A.1) recovery funcon. This does
not affect any of your saved sessions or presets, but will clear the currently loaded session and all
sengs in Setup View, including your network and authencaon sengs.
