CAUTION
Never touch metal and glass surface of the pot during preparation of food as these parts
can be HOT! Be especially careful and prevent children from touching the pot!
We recommend using personal protective aids (e.g. kitchen glove) when handling.
If the lid is not properly placed on the pot or if it is missing, food will not be prepared
properly.
If you need to remove the lid for any reason during cooking (e.g. adding food /
seasoning / mixing food), always use handle C1 and suitable protective aids (e.g.
a towel, protective gloves).
Never cut the processed food in the ceramic pot!
If you cook longer time, make sure the food will not get dried or burned.
If you find out during cooking that there is not sufficient amount of water, add some.
If you lift the lid more times, steam will go out and cooking will last longer.
Check sufficient heat processing of the food before consumption. If food is undercooked,
continue cooking. At the same time, check and add sufficient amount of water.
After several months of use, the surface (glazing) on the ceramic pot may crack: this
is normal with glazed dishes. This is absolutely normal and the appliance cannot be
subject to a complaint for this reason.
Advice for cooking in the electric pot
Please consider the following tips for preparing food as examples and inspiration,
the purpose of which is not to provide instructions, but to show various possibilities of
preparing food. The preparation (cooking) times depend on the amount, the kind and
the quality of used ingredients, but they are standardly in minutes. Choose the amount
of the processed food so that the maximum volume of the pot is not exceeded. Keep
the prescribed amount of water and the times mentioned in recipes. But always pour in
sufficient amount of water; failure to do so may result in overheating of the pot before the
end of cooking without water. Frozen meat or vegetables with fresh meat or vegetables
can be cooked in the pot. Frozen ingredients do not become overcooked. All ingredients
can be completely frozen; but make sure that spices are distributed evenly in all
ingredients. Food will not become overcooked. The pot is suitable for cooking traditional
meals, such as soups, goulashes, single-course meals, rice, hard-boiled eggs, stewed
meat, stewed vegetables, potatoes in jacket, cabbage, stewed fruit, meals from mushroom
and many others. After some time of using the pot you will be using your own times gained
by experience and practical cooking.
1. Ingredients should have room temperature; it is not suitable to add them right from
a refrigerator or a freezer. But do not let the ingredients, such as meat or fish, out of the
refrigerator for a long time; take them out of the refrigerator only for such time when cold
is absorbed, then cover the ingredients with an adhesive foil or put them into a plastic bag.
Do not prepare the ingredients in advance and do not let them out of the refrigerator for
a long time.
2. You can also put frozen meat into the ceramic pot, but before that we have to add about
0.2 L warm water or broth so that intermediate heat layer is created between meat and
the ceramic pot that protects the ceramic pot before quick change in temperatures. But
still, you have to take into account that cooking will be for several hours longer.
3. If you prepare a big piece of meat, add sufficient amount of water.
4. Cut vegetables, such as carrots, onions, turnip etc. to sufficiently small pieces as it takes
longer to prepare than meat.
