Connecting and turning on the appliance
1. Place the appliance on a fl at and stable surface. Plug the
appliance into an easily accessible power outlet.
2. Set the switch at the rear of the appliance to position I
(power on).
IMPORTANT: to move the appliance, turn it off,
unplug it and use the carry handle at the back.
Basic use
3. Press the On/Off switch at the back of the appliance. When the appliance switches
on continuously, the Presence detection function is not activated. When the
Presence detector light is red, this indicates that the function is not activated.
4. To activate the Presence detector, press the round Presence detector switch at the
back of the appliance. When the Presence detector light is green, this indicates that
the function is activated.
5. Turn the temperature control knob to adjust the temperature to suit your needs. We
recommend that you:
• fi rst turn the temperature control knob to the maximum position until the desired
temperature is reached,
• then gently turn the temperature control knob to a lower position, until you hear a
“click”, indicating that heating has stopped. The heater restarts when the ambient
temperature drops.
