Cooking with the hob - ENGLISH 17
CAUTION!
The hob will not heat if there is not a suitable pan on the cooking zone. The hob will automatically turn off
after 1 minute if no suitable pan is placed on it.

• the pan is not placed correctly on the cooking zone or,
• the pan you are using is not suitable for induction cooking or,
• the pan is too small.
Consider the following aspects when choosing cookware for your induction hob.
• Use pans whose diameter is as large as the selected zone's indicated area. Using a larger pot will use energy at its
maximum efficiency. If you use a smaller pot, the efficiency could be less than expected.
• Examples of suitable cookware are cookware made of steel, enamel-coated steel pans, and cast iron pans. If you are
uncertain, attach a magnet to the bottom of the cookware. If the magnet sticks, the cookware is made of
ferromagnetic material and therefore suitable for an induction hob. If you do not have a magnet, put some water in
the pan you want to check. If does not flash and the water is heating, the pan is suitable.
• Examples of unsuitable cookware are cookware made of pure stainless steel, aluminium or copper without a
magnetic base, glass, wood, porcelain, ceramic, and earthenware. Do not use cookware with a portion of the bottom
that is made of ferromagnetic material, while the rest is made of a different material. This can cause uneven heating
or lower power in different areas. The warranty does not cover damage on the hob caused by the use of unsuitable
cookware.
• Do not use cookware with jagged edges or a curved base. Concave or convex bottoms, whether intended or not, may
affect the heating process and damage the hob surface and the cookware.
• When an unsuitable size or non-magnetic pan, or some other small item (for example a knife, fork or key) has been
left on the hob, the hob automatically goes to standby in 1 minute. The fan will keep cooling down the induction hob
for a further 1 minute.

Touch control
An acoustic signal sounds every time a touch is registered.
• Do not apply any pressure to the surface, the controls respond to touch.
• Use the ball of your finger, not its tip.
• Make sure the controls are always clean, dry, and that there is no object (e.g. a utensil or a cloth) covering them. Even
a thin film of water may make the controls difficult to operate.
