Save energy
Here are some tips on how you can save energy.
• Use cookware that fits the amount of food you are cooking. The hob automatically adjusts the power to the size of the
cookware. Using larger cookware than required consumes more energy.
• When possible, cover the cookware with a lid.
• If a dish takes long time to cook, use a pressure cooker.
• Vegetables, potatoes, and so on, may be cooked in a smaller amount of water. The food will cook just as well, as long
as the cookware is tightly closed with a lid. After bringing the water to a boil, reduce the heat to a level that just
suffices to maintain a slow simmer.
Additional hob feature
Use the bridged cooking zone
Combine two cooking zones into one large cooking zone and use it for example when cooking with a large oval or
rectangular pan. The bridge function can combine the two leftmost or the two rightmost cooking zones, see section
"Control panel", page 11.
Use cookware with a size up to 385 mm. A heavy-bottom pan distributes the heat more evenly.
1. Place the cookware on the two cooking zones, the two leftmost or the two rightmost cooking zones.
NOTE! Make sure the cookware does not cover the control panel.
2.
Touch and hold for 5 seconds to turn on the hob.
3.
Touch on the front left cooking zone or the front right cooking zone to activate preferred bridge zone.
is displayed.
4.
Touch and slide for the front zone of the activated bridged zone to set the power level.
