5 Evacuation system
5.1 Fresh air
When the drying cabinet is running, about 50 m
3
of moist air is evacuated per hour. This air is taken from the room
where the drying cabinet is situated.
It is therefore important to ensure that fresh air can enter the room from the outside to replace the humid air that is
vented out.
The recommended fresh air intake should be 5 times larger than the recommended shared exhaust air duct.
5.2 Evacuation connection
The drying cabinet should be connected to a standard exhaust ventilation unit.
There are two possible ways to connect the drying cabinet to a ventilation duct either with a draft stabilizer or with a
permanent connection to an exhaust air system. If the drying cabinet is being connected to an existing ventilation
system, a draft stabilizer must always be used so that the general ventilation in the room is not affected.
Permanent connection is only permitted if a drying cabinet comes with a separate exhaust air duct.
