Fastening of the drill rig
The drill rig is braced between the floor and the cover.
Caution!
A solid, sturdy cover is absolutely necessary for this purpose.
We recommended removing the pivoting arm (4) of the machine before
assembling the telescopic tripod system.
To do this, loosen the tensioning screw on the slide (5) and pull the pivoting arm
upwards out of the machine.
The toothed column (1) must be installed at the base (3) for drilling on the floor
or on the wall up to a maximum drilling height of 1.5 meters.
To perform drilling in the cover and wall, from a drilling height of 1.5 m, the
telescopic tripod system must be turned 180° and the quick release column (2)
must be installed at the base.
Turning the telescopic tripod system:
If the toothed column (1) is installed in the base (3), then the rear support (12)
must be detached.
To do this, loosen the clamping lever and the thumb screw on the upper side of
the support and tilt this toward the rear.
Turn the tripod system and place it in the mount at the base (3).
Re-attach the cover plate (6) on top and tighten both thumb screws.
If the quick release column (2) is installed in the base, the support (12) will
remain hinged down.
Position the rig at the desired location. Brace the system by turning the crank (7)
clockwise and secure the quick release column using the bolts provided for this
purpose.
Caution!
Make sure that the drilling rig is securely braced between the floor and the
cover.
The ESD 182 can also be assembled with the aid of dowel fastening in the case
of an unstable cover.
Only drilling on the floor is permitted where dowel fastening is used!
Loosen both of the thumb
screws at the base (3) and on
the cover plate (6) - see
illustration.
