3. Release the air-speed trigger to turn off the machine.
Speed/Lock-on Dial Only
The machine can be locked at any speed with the speed/
lock-on dial.
1. Turn the speed/lock-on dial towards the nearby
shoulder strap hanger to start the machine. The
air speed will increase as the dial is turned until it
reaches maximum speed (MAX).
2. To decrease the air speed, turn the speed/lock-on
dial towards the opposite side.
3. Keep turning the speed/lock-on dial to the off
position (O) to stop the machine.
NOTICE: If the speed/lock-on dial is not turned back to
the off position before the battery is removed, the blower
will not start when a fully charged battery is installed.
This is a protection feature to help prevent accidental
startup. Depress the air-speed trigger to deactivate the
protection and start the blower.
TIPS FOR USING THE BLOWER (Fig. K)
For using the machine as a blower, follow the instructions
in the ASSEMBLY section to install the vacuum assembly.
◾ To keep from scattering debris, blow around the outer
edges of a debris pile. Never blow directly into the
centre of a pile.
◾ To reduce sound levels, limit the number of pieces of
power equipment used at any one time.
◾ Use rakes and brooms to loosen debris before blowing.
In dusty conditions, slightly dampen surfaces if water
is available.
◾ Conserve water by using power blowers instead
of hoses for many lawn and garden applications,
including areas such as gutters, screens, patios, grills,
porches, and gardens.
◾ Watch out for children, pets, open windows, or freshly
washed cars, and blow debris safely away.
◾ After using blowers or other equipment, clean up!
Dispose of debris properly.
TIPS FOR USING THE VACUUM (Fig. L)
For using the machine as a vacuum, follow the
instructions in the ASSEMBLY section to install the
vacuum assembly, leaf bag and shoulder strap.
◾ Check the leaf bag frequently for wear or deterioration.
◾ To avoid raising dust, completely close the leaf bag
zipper before starting the machine.
◾ Empty the leaf bag before it becomes full.
◾ To prevent water from entering the machine, use the
machine to collect wet leaves from the ground, but not
from the pool.
◾ Do not allow plastic bags, cloth and other objects
that are not easy to break and can easily become
entangled inside the machine.
◾ Do not allow hard materials, such as large wood chips,
metals, glass, pebbles, etc., to be sucked into the
machine.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING: When servicing, use only identical
replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create a
hazard or cause product damage. To ensure safety and
reliability, all repairs should be performed by a qualied
service technician.
WARNING: To avoid serious personal injury, always
remove the battery pack from the product when cleaning or
performing any maintenance.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use.
Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
WARNING: Do not at any time let brake uids,
petrol, petroleum-based products, penetrating oils,
etc., come in contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can
damage, weaken or destroy plastic which may result in
serious personal injury.
STORAGE
◾ Remove the battery pack from the machine.
◾ Clean all foreign material from the air inlets of the
machine.
◾ Store in an enclosed space that is inaccessible to
children. Keep away from corrosive agents, such as
garden chemicals and de-icing salts.
