NOTICES FOR ASSEMBLY
Please Note!
■ In order for the product to be installed correctly, a frame width of at least
5 cm is required.
■ We recommend carrying out the installation with two people.
■ Lengthen or shorten opposite frame edges as evenly as possible toavoid
tilting.
■ Be careful when reducing the size of the frame. There is a danger of crushing!
■ The two frames can be connected to each other in portrait or landscape
format.
■ Note the alignment of the frame sides: We recommend aligning the perforated
side of the corners towards the door frame.
L
When the product is delivered, the shorter edges are extended a little.
Tobe able to fix the product to a smaller door frame (short side <87 cm),
after plugging the frame together the shorter edges must initially be
pushed together.
Assembling the Frames
For each frame, proceed as follows:
1. Fold open the net(A) with the edges of the frame (Picture1).
2. Make sure that the edge of the net is inside the guide at all 8 corner halves
(Picture2).
3. Plug together the corners of the frame so they are flush (Picture3).
4. Secure each corner with a screw(K) (Picture4).
5. Adjust the frame width (see the “Adjusting the Frame Size” section): After
adjustment, the product frame must overlap the door frame on the right
and left enough so that the inner edges of the product frame and the door
frame match.
Match the width of the second frame to the width of the first frame.
6. Fix the frame width. To do this, insert a frame lock(O) at the top and
bottom (Picture5).
Adjusting the Frame Size
• Decreasing (Picture6): Press in the locking lug for each frame edge (1.)
to release thelocking mechanism. At the same time, carefully push in the
frame edge (2.).
• Increasing(Picture7): Hold the assembled frame firmly on one edge.
Atthe same time, pull the opposite edge outwards to increase the length
ofthe other two edges ofthe frame.
Assembling the Door
1. Make sure that both frames are assembled correctly (see the “Assembling
the Frames” section).
2. Place the two frames next to each other according to the final arrangement.
Note the desired orientation (visible side/door frame side and handle edge/
hinge edge).
3. Cut the rubber seal(C) to the previously set frame width minus the corners
(Picture8) and place it in the middle between the frame edges.
4. At the hinge edge: Slide an axle module(J) sideways into the lower corner
of the upper frame. Align the locking lugs downwards (Picture9).
5. Use the connectors to put the frames together:
– Attach the flat connector(D) to the hinge edge. While doing this, press
the frame and the rubber seal towards each other (Picture10). Attach
the connector with recessed handles(E) to the opposite edge in the
same way (Picture11).
– Ensure that the frames and connectors engage correctly: After attaching
the connectors, the frames must no longer be able to be pulled away
from each other. Otherwise correct the position of the connectors.
6. At the hinge edge: Slide one axle module(J) sideways into the bottom
and top corners. Align the locking lugs downwards (Picture12).
7. Slide one of the axle module locks(I) into the top of the frame (Picture13)
to secure the axle module at the top corner.
8. Depending on the design of the door threshold, select the door mounts for
the corners.
– Ground-level threshold:
1 x door mount (P) for the lower corner and
1 x door mount (G) (depending on the mounting side) for the upper corner.
– Raised threshold: 2 x door mount (G)
9. Place the selected door mounts (F, G; P if applicable) onto the appropriate
axle module ( Picture14 – 16). They must engage.
Installing the Door
1. Hold the insect screen door with the door holders attached to the door
frame from the outside and align it at the bottom. Note the following:
– The product frame must overlap the door frame at the bottom enough
so that the inner edges of the product frame and the door frame match.
– The lower door mount must rest flush against the outside of the door
frame.
2. Peel off the backing film from the lower door mount, then press the
door mount onto the door frame from the outside as described in step1
(Picture17).
3. Adjust the frame height of the lower frame (see the “Adjusting the Frame
Size” section) until the handles are at the desired height. Then stick the
middle door holder to the door frame and press it down.
4. Adjust the frame height of the upper frame until the product frame
overlaps the door frame at the top and the upper door mount rests flush
against the outside of the door frame. Then stick the upper door holder
tothe door frame and press it down.
5. Fix the frame height on both frames: Insert a frame lock(O) on the left
andright (Picture5).
6. Place the telescopic rod(B) on the inside of the lower frame diagonally
between the handle recess and the lower corner. Then adjust the length of
the telescopic rod until the end pieces hold in the frame (Picture18) and
all frame corners are square.
7. On the handle edge: Stick the magnets(M) in a suitable location to the top
and bottom corners of the product frame (Picture19). Ensure they touch
the door frame when the insect screen door is closed.
8. Attach the metal plates(N, Q) to the corresponding magnets with the
adhesive surface facing outwards.
9. For each metal plate, one at a time: Peel off the backing film. Then slowly
close the door, ensuring that the adhesive surface faces the door frame;
correct the position if necessary. Only then press the metal plate onto the
frame (Picture20).
• Check the frame height and readjust if necessary: First, remove the frame
lock(O), then adjust the length of the vertical frame edges. Finally, reinsert
theframe lock (Picture5).
L
In order to close construction-related gaps between the insect screen
door and the door frame, the brush seal supplied should be attached
tothe inside of the product frame after adjustment and installation.
10. Attaching the brush seal(H):
– Cut the brush seal to the appropriate lengths. When doing this, leave out
the magnets (Picture21) and the contact surfaces between the product
frame and door holders (Picture22).
– Make sure the frame is clean, dry and free of grease; clean it if necessary.
– Peel off the backing and stick the brush seal onto the frame.
