Explanation of Symbols and Signal Words
Danger sign: This symbol indicates risk of physical
injury. Read the associated safety instructions carefully,
and comply with them.

Important Instructions
WARNING – Danger of Injury!
■ Keep the packaging material away from children and animals.
There is a danger of suocation!
■ The product is not a toy. Do not leave children and animals
unsupervised with the product, in order to avoid injuries!
■ Danger of Burns from Battery Acid! Batteries may be life
threatening if swallowed. Therefore, store the batteries and
remot control out of reach of children and animals. If a battery
has been swallowed, you must seek immediate medical
attention.
■ Danger of Burns from Battery Acid! If a battery leaks, avoid
physical contact with the battery acid. Wear protective gloves
if necessary. If you touch battery acid, rinse the aected area
with abundant fresh water immediately and seek immediate
medical attention.
■ The product is designed to decorate outdoor areas. The stor-
age battery charge during the daytime via the solar cell eld
(within the product). The accumulated energy allows the LEDs
to illuminate at night.
■ The product is designed for personal domestic use only and
are not intended for commercial applications.
■ The product should only be used as described in these operat-
ing instructions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.
■ Only use the battery type specied in the technical data.
■ Remove the battery from the remote control if it is empty or if
you are not using the product for an extended period. This way,
you can avoid damage caused by leaking.
■ Immediately remove a leaking battery.
■ The battery must not be recharged or reactivated by any other
means, taken apart, thrown on a re, immersed in liquids or
short-circuited.
■ Protect the product from naked ames and impact.
■ Never immerse the product in water or other liquids. It is only
resistant to splashing.
■ During extreme weather conditions (e. g. storm, hail) or if the
product will not be used for a long time, switch it o and store
it in a dry place.
■ Do not disassemble the product! Have any repairs done only
by a specialist workshop or the customer service department.
The LEDs cannot be replaced.
■ Storage batteries may not be disassembled, disposed of in
re, immersed in liquids or short circuited.
■ Keep the product clean so that the greatest possible absorption
of light is ensured. Wipe down the product with a damp cloth.
Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to
clean the product! They could damage the surfaces.

Check the items supplied for completeness and transport dam-
age. If you nd any damage, do not use the product, but rather
contact the customer service department.
Remove any protective lm and labels. Never remove the rating
plate!

Changing the remote control battery
The battery is pre-installed. Only the transportation protec-
tion needs to be removed.
Before inserting the battery, check whether it is clean, and clean
it if necessary.
1. The battery compartment is located
on the narrow side of the remote
control. Remove it as shown.
2. Remove the empty battery and
insert a new battery (3 V, type
CR2025). The positive terminal
must point upwards.
3. Slide the battery compartment all the way back into the remote
control. It must audibly and noticeably lock into place.
Set-up
The solar lamp should not be placed near to other light sources
such as street lamps or other lamps, so that the LEDs can be
switched on automatically.
Position the solar lamp so that the solar eld is able to absorb
direct sunlight the whole day preferably.
Either place the solar lamp directly in position or secure it in place
using the ground spike.
1. Put the ground spike into the receptacle on the bottom of the
solar lamp.
2. Push the ground spike into the ground.
