5.7.3.4 Function modules
This parameter provides virtual switches that can be assigned
customer-specific functions. They can be used when customer-
specific applications require a signal from the control of the machine.
This parameter cannot be used unless the function modules have
been assigned to a physical output at the Technician level. This
requires that the parameter Module management be configured at
the Technician level; for more details, refer to the explanation in
the ( Service Instructions).
It is possible for each function module to place one function tile
(stored) on the main screen ( p. 89).
5.7.3.5 Setting the Output parameter
This parameter provides virtual outputs that can be assigned
customer-specific functions. They can be used when customer-
specific applications require a signal from the control of the
machine.
This parameter cannot be used unless the virtual outputs have been
assigned to a physical output at the Technician level. This requires
that the parameter Additional I/O Configuration be configured at
the Technician level; for more details, refer to the explanation
( Service Instructions).
