4.16 Sliding back the hood and removing the fabric sliding
plate

To provide for easier access to the left and right transport clamps (2),
the hood (1) can be moved out of the way.
To slide back the hood:
1. Switch off the machine ( p. 17).
2. Slide the hood (1) to the left.
The left and right transport clamp (2) is accessible.
CAUTION
Risk of injury from moving parts!
Crushing possible.
Do not slide the hood back and remove the fabric
sliding plate back UNLESS the machine is
switched off.
NOTICE
Property damage may occur!
Risk of breakage.
If the shim kit has been fitted, the shims may become damaged
when the fabric sliding plate is removed.
Ensure that the shims have been moved out of the throat plate area.
