15. Replace the fabric sliding plate ( p. 54).
Important
The cutting and holding of the hook thread by the thread-pulling knife
contributes to the safety of the machine by preventing clogging by thread
residues.
Information
The bobbin case lifter ensures reliable stitch formation at minimum thread
tension.
4.11 Bobbin thread monitor

This is how the bobbin thread monitor works:
The bobbin thread monitor (1) monitors the bobbin (3) in the left and
the right bobbin case (2).
The bobbin thread monitor (1) detects by the exposed reflecting
surface (4) in the bobbin (3) that the bobbin (3) is empty.
The pocket opening is safely finished with the remaining thread in
the supply groove (5) of the bobbin (3).
