4. Health and Safety Information
Important: Read all the Health and Safety instructions
before attempting to operate, maintain or repair this
product. Failure to follow these instructions may result in
injury or damage to the user, the product or the spray
surface.
4.1 General Health and Safety
Precautions
WARNING!
Chemical application safety.
Caution must be taken when spraying
chemicals to avoid unsafe exposure to
humans, animals and the environment.
•  Wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective
Equipment) when using this sprayer.
• This sprayer is heavy. DO NOT lift when it is full.
• Only use the sprayer for its intended purpose.
•  Familiarise yourself with the applications and
potential hazard of this sprayer.
•  ALWAYS inspect and prepare the sprayer correctly
before use.
•  DO NOT turn the sprayer on until ready to spray to
avoid unintentional spray release.
•  Before starting the sprayer (26176 & 26180) ensure
that the broadcast nozzle is orientated to spray
straight down.
Incorrectly positioned broadcast nozzle may spray
chemicals onto you or bystanders.
•  NEVER spray in high winds to minimise spray drift.
•  KEEP the area clear of children, unauthorised
persons and pets. Restrict access to the area for the
period recommended on the chemical label.
•  The sprayer must NOT be operated by anyone under
the age of 16 years old.
•  DO NOT over apply pesticides and only apply at the
rate recommended by the chemical manufacturer.
•  Excess pesticide can be dangerous to humans and
pets, damage plants and contaminate soil and water
sources.
•  NEVER point the sprayer nozzles at people or
animals.
•  EXTRA CAUTION is required when spraying near
areas accessible to children and pets.
•  DO NOT eat, drink, smoke, rub your eyes or touch any
part of your skin while handling chemicals or
spraying.
•  DO NOT spray near open ames or sources of heat.
•  ALWAYS clean up spills immediately following the
chemical label instructions.
•  DO NOT leave the sprayer unattended when not in
use.
Turn o and relieve the system pressure before
leaving the sprayer.
•  ALWAYS clean the sprayer immediately after use.
•  ALWAYS wash your hand and any exposed areas of
your skin with soapy water immediately after
spraying.
•  ALWAYS store or dispose of unused chemical as
recommended on the chemical label.
4.2 Power Supply Connection Safety
•  The sprayer is only suitable for use with a 12V DC
battery.
•  Always ensure good contact with the 12V battery.
•  If the battery terminals are corroded or dirty, clean
them before using the sprayer.
•  Disconnect the power after every use to avoid
accidental starting.
WARNING!
To prevent the risk of sparking,
short circuit and possible explosion DO NOT
drop metal tools onto the battery or allow them
to touch the battery terminals.
•  DO NOT use the sprayer if the clamp leads are
damaged or worn.
•  ONLY use the remote switch and clamps supplied
with the sprayer.
•  DO NOT cross-connect the clamps. Ensure positive
(RED) clamp is to positive terminal and negative
(BLACK) clamp is to negative terminal.
•  NEVER touch both battery terminals at the same
time.
•  If battery acid comes in contact with eyes, skin or
clothing, rinse immediately with plenty of cold clean
water.
