2. Use the editing screen to make the following changes:
Background Highlight Control Adjust: The IDW system will automatically evaluate and adapt the highlights to
achieve an optimally light face and background for each image. Use this control to override the automatic setting.
Slide the control to lighten or darken the background of the image. The results of the auto-adjust processing may
be less than optimal when the image lighting is not ideal. A lower numeric value lightens the image background
and image highlights, a higher value darkens it. Adjustment Range 100~255.
Tip
When the processed image is too dark or too light and cannot be easily adjusted by the system or
manual controls, retake the photo with better lighting. Refer to the troubleshooting section of this
guide or contact DNP support.
Color Correction: If the color is slightly off, correct it using the color sliders. Keep in mind any color correction
done will affect the background of the image. Also, make sure your corrections do not distort the skin tone of the
subject.
Brightness/Contrast: Correct the overall tone of the image using the brightness and contrast settings. Again, take
care to not change the skin tone or the background of the image.
Rotation: You can make small rotation changes to the image using the left and right rotate buttons below the
image. Press the RESET HEAD POSITION button to remove all rotation changes.
NOTE:
To save the changes you have made to the color settings for use with all subsequent photos,
press the SET DEFAULT COLORS button. To remove all color corrections you have made
(including default settings) to this image, press the RESET COLORS button. To reload a
previously set default color setting, press the LOAD DEFAULT COLORS button.
